Not once, and not on the day you asked. We connect to the system your signups land in, we count what is there, we remove the entries that are not people, and we check again on a schedule for as long as the badge is displayed.
That word is the whole instrument. A one-time audit tells a visitor what was true in March. A live figure tells them what is true now, and it withdraws itself the moment we can no longer stand behind it.
The figure is served by us and published under our seal, so it is our claim as much as it is yours. That is the only arrangement under which a number is worth anything to a stranger.
We validate everybody and we favour nobody.
Apply hereRevenue has accountants. Traffic has analytics. Ad spend has invoices. The waitlistcount has nothing at all, so it became the one figure in a launch that anybody can simply decide. A real list of 1,500 and a typed 15,000 are indistinguishable on a page, and the typed one wins the attention. The register exists to end that.

Every signup is checked for validation.
We remove the fake signups.
The badge shows the real number.
The following are undertakings, not preferences. They are published here so that they can be held against us.
We do not invest. No equity, no advisory shares, no stake in any party we validate.
We do not sell, rent or read the list. We count it and we screen it. Nothing leaves the register.
We do not rank, score or editorialise. The register is ordered by issue number, never by size.
We do not take a side. Two rivals may both hold the badge, and neither may buy a position against the other at any price.
We do not turn anyone away for being small. A validated list of 200 is a validated list. The question is whether the figure is true, not whether it is impressive.
Validation is a public act or it is nothing. Every holder is named and numbered, and the record behind any badge opens to whoever clicks it, with no account and nothing asked in return.
It enters the register's queue and is reviewed in the order received. You are shown the finding before anything is published.
The register is funded by a one-time setup fee of USD 49, which covers the audit and nothing else. It is the same whether the figure is four digits or six, and the same whether it passes or fails. That is the entire business model, and it is stated here so that nobody has to ask.
